Our company is set up to handle a project, regardless of size, from conception to completion. Regarding the permit process, we have the necessary contacts and people to take your project from the ideas you have, as vague or scattered as they might be, to obtaining the work permit, to managing the inspections, to finally finishing your project leaving a C.O. (Certificate of Occupancy) in your hand.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold the professional general contractor's license that is required in Georgia as of July 1st, 2008 and we also hold a business license with the City of Decatur, GA. We are fully insured with general liability and workman's compensation insurance.
How do I obtain plans if my project requires them?
There are several ways to obtain building plans, from hiring your own architect to utilizing our team. With our years of experience, it is our recommendation is to use our on staff designer that allows us to perform as a design/build contractor. We have found this process to be the most thorough and stress free method for each person involved; the contractor, the homeowner, and the designer.
How soon should we start planning for our project?
You should begin planning your project as soon as possible. There are a lot of details to put into place, from financing and architectural plans to permitting and scheduling. All of these items take some time and can be very unpredictable sometimes. From our experience, it is better to start early so that these items can be completed and then the project can start on your timeframe.
Do you have references?
Definitely, the majority of our work is referral based, so we have plenty of references for several different types of projects. Just ask and we will pass their information on to you. Contact us today to discuss your project and to receive references from past and existing clients.
Do you use subcontractors?
Yes, we primarily use subs, each of whom is an expert in their field/trade and meets our high expectations. We have built strong relationships with each one and work closely beside them on every project, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. All of our sub contractors are also insured and licensed as required.
How long will my project take?
Our services include providing clients with a detailed timeline for work requested. The biggest determining factor is the size of the job. However, it is also important to keep in mind that construction timetables are dependent upon subcontractors, suppliers, weather, materials, permit acquisition, inspections and payment schedule. Each of these elements can cause the project to move more quickly than predicted or cause delays in the overall project.
